Francisco Soares, of Derby, was arrested on Friday, Feb. 7, by Milford Police after being stopped by the department's TAC Unit on an anti-crime patrol in the area of Old Gate Lane.
During the stop, officers found Soares had a suspended license and an active warrant for his arrest, police said.
Soares was also found to be in possession of narcotics and was taken into custody without incident.
He was charged with possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell, driving with a suspended license, failure to obey a traffic signal, and failure to appear.
Soares was released on a $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 3.
